It's tax season and that means more ads from the Green and White firm with a block in the logo. Their claim is to get you the best refund, but if you look at how its fees are calculated, you can see why. From their website, they basically state that they charge the absolute maximum the government will allow: 15% on the first $300 and 5% on the rest of your refund.

So I got an email from my University's Alumni Association the other day like I usually do. This time, instead of swiping right to delete immediately, the subject line jumped out at me: Save money with NEW 10 year term life insurance

So I read a lot of books every year. Well, I have someone else read it to me, but it's basically the same thing. Audiobooks, in my opinion, are like taking a test drive: I listen to the book and if something jumps out at me, something I think I really need, I buy the book.
